When Japan were knocked out by Belgium in the World Cup earlier this month, you could imagine they were a bit annoyed with themselves. Losing a 2-0 lead in the last 20 minutes of a game can never be the greatest experience.
Even though that may be the case, Japan tidied up their changing room after the game, and left a sign in Russian thanking the host nation. A clean changing room after a game is barely ever seen and this is a great example of some professionalism from some exceptional athletes.
This isn’t the first time Japan made the headlines for the right reasons. After each Japan match, supporters stayed behind and picked up rubbish from between seats, making the jobs for the cleaners that much easier.
Hats off to the you Japan and congratulations on your fantastic World Cup run.
