My name is Sophia Ellis. Running a vegan fitness and lifestyle blog enables me to encourage and support people into healthier eating and regular exercise. I suffered with Anorexia, Bulimia, EDNOS, BPD and severe depression for over 5 years, and was discharged from The Maudsley Hospital in 2017. Showing my journey of beating Anorexia and Bulimia through fitness allows me to reach out to people who are suffering with mental illness to show they aren’t alone, promoting awareness of eating disorders and giving hope to sufferers. I have played football at a high level with Southend Manor FC/ Southendian Ladies and am now a competitive Powerlifter, currently competing at National level. My passion for fitness is shown though my qualifications as a personal trainer, gym and Yoga Instructor, where I can pass on experience, knowledge and help people to grow physically and mentally. I participate in many events for charity and have now set myself the challenge of leading a team up Mount Kilimanjaro next year.
Weight training has made me feel strong again and build a better relationship with food. What you put into your body is so important – Investing in a vegan lifestyle was the best decision I ever made, my mind and body is healthy whilst showing compassion towards animals and protecting the environment in the process. 🙂

What inspires you?
I don’t have a particular thing that inspires me as I am constantly inspired everyday by my surroundings, the people in my life and experiences.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Everyone go vegan 🌱
If you could have one superpower what would you choose and why?
Teleportation. Because I’ve always wanted to be a Power Ranger. I mean those watches were well cool.. it’s morphin time!

What cause, project or event would you like to promote?
I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August in order to raise money for the charity Dig Deep who supply clean water and toilets to communities in Kenya. Any donations would be really appreciated 🙏🏻

Depends on the mood.. so I’m gonna list my faves: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Glass Animals, Flume, DMX, Arctic Monkeys, Mura Masa.. ah man I can’t choose 😂 like the old stuff like Bowie too
Who is the person that you feel has shaped your life most?
My mum 🙏🏻 My absolute rock and has always been there for me, helped me grow and taught me gratitude.
