One thousand competitive centuries

by Banana Crumble | Mar 14, 2019

Ronnie O’sullivan has become the first person to reach 1000 competitive centuries. A record he achieved as he took the 2019 players final title this week. A remarkable achievement and shows how much time, practice and dedication must have gone into this. There are only two others players who have even beaten the 700 total. Stephen Hendry is next on this list with 775 and John Higgins on 745 taking third spot, which highlights what a huge achievement the 1000 actually is. To be at that level and for so long is a feat that will certainly be hard to beat.

The hours and hours of practice to achieve such high scoring breaks on so many occasions is not one to be underestimated. People reaching the top of whichever sport they do, practice so hard, give up so much to be the very best but we here at Banana Crumble would like to congratulate Ronnie O’Sullivan on this remarkable achievement.
