Earlier in the week we featured the Australian Bush fires and how tennis player Nick Kyrgios was serving up aces and raising money for the fire effort. There have been so many horrible stories about this that it is hard to find any good news around the devastation that has been caused. We have heard tales of people rescuing people, animals and absolute heroics that we probably cannot comprehend and these are the stories we should be sharing.
One bit of good news that we also wanted to share is that nature is really an amazing thing and even though areas of bush have been destroyed life is beginning to reappear. This is great news and gives optimism that through all the damage and destruction that life will be able to recover and nature will be able to carry out its own miracle and help with the recovery after the disaster.
Over the last few days there has been a brief respite with a little rain but January is only the start of the Australian summer so if you do want to help with the fundraising that is currently ongoing both here and in Australia then please click here.
As much as nature can recover and in years hardly a scar will be seen on the landscape it is the toll that has been taken in both human and animal life that will be never be forgotten . Buildings can be rebuilt but the personal things that have been lost are irreplaceable. We are all hoping that the rest of the Australian summer does not continue to wreak the havoc of the last few months.
