Is Cricket Coming Home?

England are playing in the World Cup Final against New Zealand on Sunday (14th July). Is cricket coming home?

On Thursday (11th July) England came up against Australia in the Cricket World Cup Semi Final.

Apart from losing the toss and getting asked to bowl first, everything else went England’s way. From Jofra Archer taking a wicket with his first ball followed by Chris Woakes getting David Warner to snick off in his second over through to Australia losing all their wickets before the 50 overs were up. England bowled superbly to a plan and apart from Steve Smith putting up some resistance Australia never looked like they were going to put on a respectable score.

England then went out to bat and batted as they have done over most of the last year or two, aggressive and destructive destroying the Australian opening bowlers. England never looked in doubt chasing Australias score of 223. Jason Roy top scored for England with 85.

England are now playing in the World Cup Final against New Zealand on Sunday (14th July). The game is being shown on Sky and Channel 4 with the first ball being bowled at 10:30am.

Is it possible that cricket is coming home? Banana Crumble certainly hope so and will be cheering the team on.
