Marcin Bialoblocki set a new 50-mile cycling time trial national record by more than three minutes after setting a time of 1-30-31 travelling at an average speed of 33.143mph (53.339kmh) in the Shaftesbury Cycling Club event last weekend.

The Polish rider’s time beat the previous record by over four minutes.

The result means that Bialoblocki now holds the records for 10-miles, which he set at 16-35 in 2016, 25-miles, which he set at 42-58 in May after beating his own previous record, and 50-miles.

Our very own Banana Analyst was marshalling at the event and had the pleasure of seeing Marcin fly past him.

Marcin’s next big challenge is the National 25 miles Championship in August.  Banana Crumble will continue to follow his progress.
