Banana Chat - meet our favourite chatters!!

by Banana Crumble | Jan 09, 2019

Since our launch we have featured 58 Banana Chat interviews with people, young and old and from all walks of life. All inspirational in their own way. We thought we would like to have a look back and choose our favourite answers from some of the interviews we featured. Does your answer feature in a selection of our favourites ?

What is your favourite joke?
“What’s the best thing about Switzerland?” “I don’t know but the flag is a big plus” – Kyle Smith

What makes you smile?
The thought of my next adventure/challenge – Sophie Holmes

What is your favourite good news story?
As a former journalist, I’ve seen many stories – both good and bad. One that sticks out was a run-of-the-mill prostate cancer story that I wrote in the early noughties. Several years later, a man came into our office, said he’d read my story and followed the advice in the article to get checked. He had been completely unaware that he had early stages of cancer – and my words had saved his life. The power of the press, eh? – Martin Smith

What inspires you?
Positivity, seeing anybody pushing their limits and never giving up. I am a very positive person and I am driven by those who are the same. – Adonis Vamvoukakis

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
The public’s perceptive on living with a disability. We do not need to be felt sorry for, life is still equally brilliant, we just have other challenges. – George Evans

If you could have one superpower what would you choose and why?
I’d want to be able to cure people’s illness/injuries. I don’t think there would be a day on earth without illness or injury but if I could have any power I’d want to change that.  – Sophie-Jayne Butler

What is your favourite food?
Literally ANYTHING – Lauren Hull

What is your favourite drink?
Water! I am so grateful for water, and that I have always had access to clean water wherever I’ve been in the world. That is definitely not a given. (I also really enjoy a glass of red wine) – Liv Austen (Country Singer)

If you are going on holiday what luxury item would you take from home?
My American fridge with draught chilled water – Kevin Miller

If you could make one law, what would it be and why?
A new compulsory day’s holiday, where everyone has to get up, get active and have a boogie! Feel good factor! – Adam Hunter

Give us a random piece of information about you that people wouldn’t know?
One of my ancestors is Robert Culliford -a notorious pirate from Cornwall in the 1600’s. – Imogen Culliford

What is your favourite phrase or saying?
Those who do not believe in magic will never find it. By my favourite childhood author, Roald Dahl. – Natalie Crawford

What cause, project or event would you like to promote?
We have featured so many great causes, events and charities but we will go for our obvious choice, our Charity of the Year The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. – Banana Crumble team

Who is your favourite music artist?
In the modern day, I have to say Ed Sheeran. I am a huge fan as are so many people in the world. On a night out I’m happy with anything that I can sing along with as well!! (Although my voice isn’t much to behold) – Matt Austin

Who is the person that you feel has shaped your life most?
Tough question. No one single person I would say, there are a lot of people. A long list and can list them out with reasons all day long! Everyone whom I have met and worked with has shaped my life somehow and I am grateful for everyone! – Kiu Sum

They will have a full glass but not wear PJs, much prefer a night in eating pasta, cake and drinking beer. On a night out they will either go to the cinema, watch football or go to the gym whilst being nice and wearing gold. When they come home they would rather sleep under a duvet, have a shower and watch Game of Thrones and of course eat a banana!!! What a picture this conjures up, the mind boggles!!!

Hope you enjoyed our fun feature!!
