All I can say is WOW!!!

by Banana Crumble | Dec 21, 2019

Wow, wow, wow what an amazing story!!!

At Christmas so many people do so many amazing things and find countless ways of raising money for good causes.

The Queen Victoria Inn, in Priddy, Somerset has been turned into a gingerbread house for the whole of Christmas. This is complete with thousands of Christmas lights, candy canes and a giant Christmas tree made out of wine bottles. This display has become the centre piece for the local village and people come from far and wide to see this amazing display.

Each year the pub raises money for charity and this year the money will be going to “Children’s Hospice South West”. The pub is renamed the Gingerbread Inn for the festive period.

Looking at all of the photos this really must be a sight to behold and give so many people so much pleasure. Besides all the positivity around this they are raising lots of funds for their charity. We called and spoke to the pub and they said that in 2017 they raised £1600 and in 2018 £4500. They said this year they are so busy that they are hoping to raise even more money. We wish them all the very best and hope one day to be able to visit the remarkable Gingerbread Inn for ourselves.

If any of our members are down that way I think this definitely must be worth a visit.
