A roast dinner for £1

by Banana Crumble | Jul 18, 2019

Sometimes things sound like they are too good to be true but we certainly know this isn’t always the case and often there are some really great things happening. We saw on Facebook that The Plough in Bignall End, in Staffordshire are offering roast dinners for just £1 on every Sunday in July. Sounds too good to be true. I phoned to ask and spoke to Becky at the pub. Becky confirmed that the first 40 people on each Sunday in July will indeed get their roasts for £1.

This is a really great gesture and although obviously increasing advertising and publicity it does indeed give people a chance to be able to have a really good meal for a small amount of money. This is a particularly useful for families when sometimes to eat out the cost can be more than lots of people can afford. If you are near Bignall End and know of anyone who would enjoy a roast dinner for just £1 be sure to pass the news on. This goes to prove that sometimes things are not always too good to be true.

Talking to someone who lives locally it appears that the pub has recently changed hands and is under new ownership. We wish the team at The Plough all the very best and hope that their generosity and good spirit is recognised.
